If you’re looking for a gorgeous red-head with all of the traditional highland character, GLO Layla is your girl. Layla is 4 year old cow who has successfully sired 2 wonderful offspring, and is confirmed bred for a May 2027 calf sired by Circle V High Road. She can sell now with her current steer calf, or on her own following weaning in December.
We bred Layla’s dam (LiTerra Bree) 3 days after she arrived on our farm, and anxiously waited for this girl to arrive! When she did, she did not disappoint. Layla attended her first show at just 2 months old where she was awarded Champion Intermediate Heifer Calf honors. She kept her show streak alive as a young cow when she and her heifer calf GLO Reba brought home Reserve Champion Cow/Calf honors at the Iowa State Fair Highland Show in 2025. Her offspring continue to have show ring success as Reba was also named Reserve Champion Junior Heifer Calf at the 2025 NCHCA Junior Show.
Outside of the show ring, Layla is the cow everyone desires to have in their pasture. She is quiet, easy to work with, and moderately framed. Her dam’s line is known for their great feet and udders, which she has passed along to her offspring as well. She is confirmed in-calf with her 3rd Circle V High Road baby, and this pairing has consistently delivered strong, growthy calves, with great feet and a docile nature. She has calved unassisted every year, and has great maternal instinct.
